  7th June 2017 Dreaming Beds 19/22 Prudhoe Street, North Shields, Tyne & Wear NE29 6RA Dear Sir/ Madam, I placed an order for a king size bed, mattress and headboard with yourselves on the 20th May 2017. When I placed the order, I was advised it would be 7 days for delivery of the bed/mattress and a further 3 days for delivery of the headboard, which was more than acceptable. On the day of purchase, I paid £470, in full, for both the bed and the headboard. The bed and mattress were delivered on time on Saturday 27th May as arranged, however the material on the mattress is sub-standard to the display item in shop. Basically, a different mattress arrived without any notification of a change to the specification ordered. Furthermore, I received a call from the shop on Tuesday 30th May to say Dreaming Beds had ordered the wrong headboard and I would need to wait a further 7 days for it to arrive. Although I was unhappy at receiving the call, I realised that there was little I could do. We were advised that we would receive a phone call from the delivery driver 10 minutes before the arrival of the correct headboard was due on Tuesday 6th June, but that call never came and neither did the headboard. My partner rang the Dreaming Beds on 7th June to enquire when the headboard would actually be arriving, only to be advised the headboard had in fact been delivered and taken in by the residents of number ** ********* Not only did I not receive a call to say the headboard was on its way, there was no calling card put through my door to advise that there had been an attempt to deliver it. Leaving the headboard with the residents at number ** ********* is not acceptable at all as I do not speak with or get on with my neighbours and this has caused a lot of conflict today. It’s safe to say, I’m appalled by the service level of Dreaming Beds and their lack of customer focus. I’ll definitely not be using you in the future and will be advising friends and family to steer well clear. Under the Sale of Goods Act 1979 you are required to deliver the items ordered to me within a reasonable time and in my opinion, Dreaming Beds have failed to do that.
